ABOUT CCRF :

Centralized Core Research Facility (CCRF) at AIIMS is a cutting-edge research hub dedicated to advancing knowledge in genomics, proteomics, immunology, infection biology, and bioinformatics. By providing access to state-of-the-art technologies and expert support, CCRF empowers researchers to conduct high-quality research in these high-priority areas and positions AIIMS as a global leader in biomedical research.

CCRF was inaugurated by Prof. Venki Ramakrishnan, recipient of the 2009 Nobel Prize in Chemistry and the 62^nd President of The Royal Society (Chief Guest) and Prof. Krishnaswamy VijayRaghavan, Principal Scientific Adviser, Government of India (Guest of Honour) on 24 January 2020. The facility re-dedicated Prof. David Julius, Nobel Laureate (2021) recipient of Nobel Prize in Physiology on 18 January 2024.

Objectives

• To create a comprehensive state-of-the-art facility in the high priority areas of genomics, proteomics, bioanalytics, bioinformatics, immunology, cell and infection biology in order to provide a quantum thrust to basic, clinical and translational research at AIIMS

• To develop a pool of trained human resources, (faculty, scientists, technicians) with capacity for conducting high-end bio-medical research

• To build capacity for and extend technical expertise to other institutions of excellence in such research areas
