Blood Donation:

1. Whole Blood Donation:

   1. Place of Blood Donation:

      1. Inhouse Blood Donation: Blood Centre, Main Hospital, AIIMS New Delhi.

      2. Outdoor Blood Donation Camps: based on camp site

   2. Type of Blood Donors: Voluntary, Family Voluntary and Replacement Donors

   3. Amount of Blood Collected: 450 ml and 350 ml (Based on Donor weight)

   4. Who can donate Blood: Drugs and cosmetic Act amendment March 2020.    5. Timing of donation: Monday to Saturday (09:00 AM to 06:00 PM) (Last donor registration till 5:15 PM)

   6. Total time for blood donation (from registration to donation): Approx 30 min (Based on workload)

2. Apheresis Donation:

   1. Plateletpheresis Donation:

      1. Place of Donation: Apheresis Lab, Blood Centre, Main Hospital, AIIMS New Delhi.

      2. Type of Donors: Voluntary, Family Voluntary and Replacement Donors

      3. Volume Collected: 200-300 ml (Varied based on donor parameters)

      4. Who can donate platelets: Drugs and cosmetic Act amendment March 2020.       5. Timing of donation: Monday to Saturday (09:00 PM to 05:00 PM)

      6. Total time for donation:

         1. Donor Screening and testing time: 24 hrs

         2. Donation time: 60 -90 min
