Work Experience

Dr. Ravneet Kaur is working as faculty member in the Centre for Community Medicine since 2014. Before joining AIIMS, she worked as faculty member at PGIMER, Chandigarh. She has extensive experience in undergraduate and post graduate medical teaching, and training of various cadres of health professionals. She is involved in e-learning and skills training of medical students.

She is a national trainer for the Adolescent Friendly Health Services under the Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram (RKSK), and Anemia Mukt Bharat, and master trainer for MAA (IYCF) program.

She served at CRHSP Ballabgarh from June 2014 to December 2018. As faculty in-charge for ward and labour room, she undertook various quality improvement (QI) initiatives.

She has contributed in various national programs of the Government of India. She is a member of the National Centre of Excellence and Advanced Research on Anemia Control (NCEAR-A) and member of the AIIMS Technical Support Unit for the Office of Registrar General of India (ORGI) in implementing the SRS based verbal autopsy system for ascertaining cause of death in India.

She is a member of the technical advisory group and project review committee of the ICMR for extramural ad-hoc projects.

She has conducted research on various aspects of maternal health, anemia, maternal infant & young child nutrition, parenteral iron, quality of care, and other areas of public health importance. She is a principal investigator and co-investigator in many intramural and extramural research projects funded by the WHO, ICMR and MoHFW.

She has published more than 100 research papers in national and international journals, and has contributed chapters in textbooks.
