Her main research work is in the fields of hemostasis, thrombosis, thalassemia, hemoglobinopathies and leukemia. Her major interest has been not only in diagnostics of the above but also molecular genetics of the above disorders. DNA analysis for Hemophilia A linkage studies, intron 22 and 1 inversion, von Willebrands Disease characterization, F V Leiden, prothrombin 20210 and MTHFR gene mutations have been some areas in which she has and is actively involved.
