The areas addressed in these workshops are: Assessment Strategies in medical education, . the Role of Media in education Problem Based Learning , production of Learning Resource Materials, and Computer Assisted Learning , Scientific Writing , 'How to make good slides?' and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
AIIMS has popularized the use of MCQs and the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for the assessment of theory and clinical skills respectively, which have influenced the quality of training.
CMET workshops are largely collective efforts in which the adjunct faculty members come together and organize the activities. Each workshop is led by a core group of 6-8 faculty members, lead by an organizing secretary, which underlines the concept of rotating leadership. The faculty trained at CMET are looked upon as the leaders in their respective departments.
