           All types of surgically respectable cancers and interventional radiotherapy procedures, pediatric radiotherapy, pediatric central line placements, pediatric radiological procedures (USG, CT, MRI, PET-CT)

  • Types of pain treated

           Cancer pain of all origins and in all forms, nerve pain, intercostal neuralgia, peripheral neuropathy, occipital neuralgia, post surgical pain, cancer pain, post-herpetic neuralgia (shingles pain), pelvic pain.

  • Services provided under fluoroscopy/usg guided procedures

           Celiac plexus block, superior hypogastric plexus blocks, ganglion impar blocks, stellate ganglion blocks

  • Other procedures planned in near future

          Pulsed radiofrequency ablation procedures

  • Pre-anesthetic consultations and follow up for in-patients

  • Pain consultations and follow up for in-patients

  • Palliative care consultations and follow-up care for in-patients

  • Dedicated inpatient palliative care ward

  • Post-anesthesia care unit facilities for post operative patients

  • ICU facilities for critically ill patients of Medical Oncology, Radiation  Oncology, and Surgical Oncology

  • Outpatient Pre-anesthetic Evaluation, Pain and Palliative Care Clinic four days a week

  • Dispensing of analgesics and drugs for pain and palliation

  • Referral to Non-profit (Free Service) Home Care Support Team CANSUPPORT and Non-Profit (Free Service) Hospice Care SHANTIAVEDNA  SADAN for patients with advanced malignancies

  • Hours of surgeries and interventions are Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm.

  • Emergency consultations, care and follow up for pain, palliation and critical management are available 24x7.

  • Clinical research activities in oncology wherever possible for betterment of overall cancer care.

  • Pain and Palliation Interventions

  • Lab services- Acid-Base Calculator for arterial blood gases (ABG), Hemogram and Biochemistry, Coagulation Profile, Pulmonary Function Tests, Electrocardiography, Ultrasonography, Fluoroscopy

Patient education services-
  • Pre-anesthesia counseling about anesthesia procedure and answering all the concerns regarding the procedure
  •  Post-operative pain assessment and explanation of the role of good analgesia for uneventful recovery
  •  Parental education with adequate feedback from the minor regarding the minor’s peri-anesthesia events
  • Explanation of the role of pain intervention procedures in relieving physical pain
  •  Involvement of home care team and counselors for the effective evaluation of the psycho-socio-spiritual aspects of the cancer pain
  • Information and instructions for oral use of morphine in cancer pain and need for good compliance with answers to fear of opioid addiction. Physiotherapist teaches physical therapy and respiratory therapy to all pre- and post-operative patients and physical rehabilitation in palliative patients  
  •  End-of-life care, home care and hospice support counseling for terminally sick patients
