2nd Prize to Dr. Priya Kalra (from Dr. Vikram Saini's Lab) at Regional Young Investigator meeting held at NIPGR, New Delhi

Dr. Priya Kalra (from Dr. Vikram Saini’s group, Laboratory of Infection Biology and Translational Research, Deptt. of Biotechnology), has won 2nd prize at the Regional Young Investigator’s Meeting for researchers of Delhi-NCR region held on August 6-7th, 2019 at National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), New Delhi. Dr. Priya received this award from Prof. Satyajit Mayor, Director, National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) for the work on understanding the metabolic basis of high susceptibility to microbial infections during chronic health conditions. The meeting was jointly organized by India Bioscience, SERB and DBT, GOI and around 150 researchers and science professionals (Academia and Industry) across the life-science sector from the Delhi-NCR region participated in this meeting. The presented work was supported by IYBA DBT, Core Research grant SERB and intramural grant with Dr. Vikram Saini.
