Dr. Vikram Saini wins "The Innovative Young Biotechnologist Award (IYBA)" for the year 2018 by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India
IYBA is a prestigious Award of Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India which identifies and nurture outstanding young scientists with innovative ideas for pursuing research in frontier areas of Biotechnology. Dr. Saini gets this award to pursue an innovative translational research focused on mechanisms of tuberculosis virulence, persistence, and drug tolerance.
The award includes a citation, research funding, and a cash award of 1 lakh/year (for 3 years). The award will be conferred to Dr. Saini in a function to be organized by the DBT, GOI. 2nd Prize to Dr. Priya Kalra (from Dr. Vikram Saini's Lab) at Regional Young Investigator meeting held at NIPGR, New Delhi
