Cost Effective use of Technology in Emergency Healthcare 2014
With the emergence of Emergency Medicine as a distinct speciality;
Emergency Department (ED) is today being recognized as one of the most
crucial and also one of the most difficult pieces of the healthcare
delivery puzzle.
Progressive Emergency Department leaders and practitioners across the
country have been working towards introducing structural changes and
processes to transform their Emergency Departments into an integrated
end-to-end acute care service delivery organization.
Clinical Process Automation and Information Technology has great
potential in providing foundation and accelerating this transformation
of Emergency Departments by introducing evidence-based best practices
and also dramatically reducing cost of delivery.
The Emergency Department and IT Department at JPN Apex Trauma Centre,
AIIMS, New Delhi, has introduced a new dimension in improving patient
care at Emergency Departments with the implementation of world-class
open source technologies.

workshops. Extremely cost-effective cloud hosted & Integrated EMR,
Computerized medico-legal case (MLC) system, Patient display system,
barcoding, labs, telemedicine education & a Trauma, poison &
cardiac arrest registry for any ED in India.
- ED-PACS - Live demonstration & workshop on Cost-effective PACS customized for ED's in India
- Creating a Emergency Department with standardized facilities
- JPNATC Case study & demonstration of packages for primary,
secondary & tertiary levels. This session is aimed at building ED's
cost effectively with standardized resources & infrastructure at the
primary, secondary & tertiary levels and building a certification
model.
- Moodle e-learning & course management - Live
demonstration & workshops. Extremely cost effective e-learning &
course management solutions by on world famous open source moodle
platform along with live 'proof of concept' for nursing education at
JPNATC.
- Telemedicine in ED - Live demonstration &
JPNATC case study. Cost-effective & practical uses of Telemedicine
in ED which are useful for primary, secondary & tertiary levels as
well as 'proof of concept' & case study at JPNATC

Student Scholarships
STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP FOR ATTENDING CEUTEH 2015
In order to promote & disseminate Cost-Effective technologies, The Parent society of CEUTEH (known as
Society for Cost Effective Use of Technology in Healthcare) is happy to provide 100 Scholarships (equivalent to the CEUTEH registration fee + Bonus) for deserving students.
The salient features of the scholarship are:
- This scholarship is being provided by SCEUTH and the organisers of CEUTEH on a best effort basis
- The decision on selection of students for the award of
scholarship will be taken by the executive committee of SEUTEH will be
final and binding on all applicants.
- Any student who is pursuing a bachelor or higher course in any
stream which deals with technology in Healthcare is eligible to apply.
The Student only needs to tick the appropriate box in the registration
form (online/offline) if he/she wishes to apply for the scholarship. The
successful students will be individually intimated via email and the
list will also be put up on the conference website.
- The student should possess a valid I-card at the time of registration for the conference.
- The registration fee will initially have to be
paid online/ offline by the student and this will be refunded after the
conference (at the conference venue itself) to the students who have
been awarded the scholarship.
- For availing the refund the student has to have minimum of 70% attendance on all days (separately)
of the conference. Attendance will be calculated using RIFD cards
automatically. However, it will be the student's responsibility to have
the RIFD tag read by the reader at every entry & exit into the
conference hall/auditorium
- In addition, if the attendance is higher than 70%, the following bonuses will be given to the student:
- 70-80% (inclusive): Rs 500 Bonus
- 80- 90% (Inclusive): Rs 1000 bonus
- 90-100% (Inclusive): Rs 2000 bonus
- The attendance calculated by the computer will be considered as final and NO questions will be entertained in this regard.
