Event Overview
Cost Effective use of Technology in Emergency Healthcare 2014
With the emergence of Emergency Medicine as a distinct speciality;
Emergency Department (ED) is today being recognized as one of the most
crucial and also one of the most difficult pieces of the healthcare
delivery puzzle.
Progressive Emergency Department leaders and practitioners across the
country have been working towards introducing structural changes and
processes to transform their Emergency Departments into an integrated
end-to-end acute care service delivery organization.
Clinical Process Automation and Information Technology has great
potential in providing foundation and accelerating this transformation
of Emergency Departments by introducing evidence-based best practices
and also dramatically reducing cost of delivery.
The Emergency Department and IT Department at JPN Apex Trauma Centre,
AIIMS, New Delhi, has introduced a new dimension in improving patient
care at Emergency Departments with the implementation of world-class
open source technologies.

Nursing Conference
Technological innovation has swept the globe and nurses have accepted
the challenge this evolution brings. Today nurses work in a variety of
health programs like electronic clinical documentation and health
records, tele-triage among others. They access online libraries and
databases of clinical practice guidelines in their workplaces and
interact with their peers globally in discussion groups over the phone
and/or internet.
Patient care technology has become increasingly complex; transforming
the way nursing care is conceptualized and delivered. Nurses are
actively involved in developing standards for better patient care
delivery as well as implementing new nursing educational programs with
the use of technology.
Surveys show that nurses prefer to work in hospitals in which safety,
quality, and their own job satisfaction are top priorities. New
technologies have the potential to improve the environment for nurses by
helping them devote more of their time and expertise to caring for
patients, rather than tracking down equipment, managing supplies, or
locating clinicians and staff.
This conference offers unprecedented opportunity for nurses to see how
technology can change the way patients are being managed and also
benefit from the latest in nursing care. We welcome you to attend
participate actively in this conference.
