Professor of Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Pavia and Director of the Laboratories for Diagnostics and Applied Biological Research at the Institute of Neurology IRCCS C. Mondino Foundation in Pavia, Italy. He is Associate Editor of Epilepsia and a member of the editorial board of several other journals. He is currently First Vice-President Elect of the International League against Epilepsy (ILAE). His research interests have been focused mainly on the treatment of epilepsy, with special reference to clinical pharmacokinetics, clinical trial methodology and outcome assessment. He co-edited several international textbooks and authored or co-authored many articles and book chapters in the field of clinical pharmacology and epilepsy therapy.

Rubin Brown Professor of Pediatric Neurology and Chief of the Division of Pediatric Neurology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Sankar’s areas of research sponsored by the NINDS, NIH include status epilepticus and seizure-induced changes on the developing brain. A widely published author, his research has appeared in diverse journals including, Journal of Neuroscience, Brain Research, Epilepsia, and Annals of Neurology. He is a member of the Research Committee and the Professional Advisory Board of the Epilepsy Foundation. Dr. Moshe is the Present Secretary General of the ILAE , Professor of Neurology, Neurosciences and Pediatrics , Vice Chair, Department of Neurology , Director, Pediatric Neurology and Director of Clinical Neurophysiology, Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He was also the past president of the American Epilepsy Society and the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society. He received his medical degree from the National University of Athens School of Medicine, Athens, Greece. He has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards and served in many International Committees at improving the care of patients through translational research. His research has focused on understanding the mechanisms underlying epilepsy and its consequences in children.
