 Prof Kurupath Radhakrishnan, DM

 

Professor and Head, Department of Neurology, and Dean, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute Medical Sciences and Technology. He established the Madhavan Nayar Center for Comprehensive Epilepsy Care at the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology, Trivandrum, Kerala, the first of its kind southern India. He has numerous publications and has delivered many prestigious lectures and orations. He has been a pioneering force in developing structured epilepsy program in India.


 

Prof. Kameshwar Prasad, DM

 

Professor, dept of Neurology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He is a member of McMaster-based International Evidence-Based Medicine Working Group, Editor, Edinburgh-based Cochrane Stroke Group and Amsterdam-based Cochrane ARI Group, Referee for many national and international journals including the British Medical Journal, Founder Chairman of Department of Clinical Neurosciences in the Ministry of Health, Bahrain

Ex-Chairman of the Department of Medicine at The Arabian Gulf University, Bahrain, Former Scientific Director of the International Gulf Reference Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine at Bahrain. He was awarded a civilian honour “Padmashree” by the Hon’ble President of India. His critical analysis of papers makes him an excellent teacher of evidence-based medicine.


Dr. Satish Jain D.M

Director, Indian Epilepsy Center, Sr Consultant & Head of Neurology, FORTIS Hospitals, and former professor at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. A

William G Lennox International Clinical Research Fellow awardee worked at Duke Center for the Advanced Study of Epilepsy, Duke University Medical Center, Durham. He described the “Disease Expression of JME in Indian Population" which represents one of the largest collection of systematically studied family data in relation to JME. He had collaborative projects on “Linkage Analysis of Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy (JME) and other Idiopathic Generalized Epilepsies (IGEs)” point to “multiple loci” for the genetic predisposition to JME. He also described the “Occurrence of epilepsies in family members of Indian probands with different epileptic syndromes.” He is actively involved with the WHO-ILAE-IBE Global Campaign against Epilepsy.


Prof. Uma Kant Mishra, D.M

Head of the dept of Neurology at the SGPGI institute, Lucknow. Prof. Misra’s major contributions are in the field of neurotoxicology, tropical neurology and clinical neurophysiology. He has published more than 157 scientific original papers. He is author of two books: Clinical Neurophysiology published by BI Churchill Livingstone, India and Hand Book of Tropical Neurology published by Landes Biosciences, Texas, USA. He is a fellow of Academy of medical Sciences (FAMS), Indian Academy of Sciences, Indian Academy of neurology, Indian Academy of Clinical Medicine, Indian College of Physician and corresponding fellow of American Academy of Neurology and corresponding member of American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and American Neurological Association. He has delivered number of prestigious orations and invited lectures.
