Professor In Neurology , in the prestigious institute of NIMHANS. Has a special interest in Epilepsy, Neuro-epidemiology, Neuro infections including neuro- AIDS. His contribution to epilepsy is in reflex epilepsy (hot water) and the progressive myoclonic epilepsies.

 

 


 

 

Prof. Mehendiratta D.M

 

Prof Of Neurology, GB Pant Hospital, has a keen interest in epilepsy and is currently Honorary Secretary of the IAN, Member chapter ILAE- India, Indian Epilepsy Society. Has number of publications and has organized conferences for benefit of neurologists in India.

 


Prof. Madhuri Behari, DM

 

Prof. Chitra Sarkar

 

Professor and Head of department of Neurology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Apart from her pioneering work in movement disorders she has a significant contribution to epilepsy and has been a guiding force towards the epilepsy program at AIIMS. Her contributions include basic research in animal model of epilepsy, work on pharmacokinetics of antiepileptic drugs in pregnant women helped to understand the reason for worsening of epilepsy during pregnancy in some patients.  She has established a very good DBS program at AIIMS.


 Prof. Chitra Sarkar, Neuropathologist, Department of Pathology AIIMS. She is the final gold standard setter for the Epilepsy surgery team at AIIMS. She has many publications to her credit. Her interest is in special markers in cortical dysplasias. She has delivered many lectures and organised many Clinicopathological conferences


 

 

Dr. C. S Bal

 

 

Dr CS Bal, Professor in Nuclear Medicine. A part of the epilepsy surgery team at AIIMS. Has keen intrest in Ictal SPECTS and SISCOM in intractable epilepsy. He has numerous publications in both national and international peer reviewed journals.


 

Dr Sailesh Gaikwad

 

Dr Sailesh Gaikwad, Neuroradiologist, Department of Neuroradiology AIIMS. Has a keen interest  in the radiology of Intractable epilepsy. Seldom does anything escape his discerning vision. He is a indispensible part of the epilepsy surgery team. He has numerous papers and has organised many radiology conferences. He is also a interventional neuroradiologist.
