Practicing Regional anaesthesia for more than 30 years, expert in brachial plexus blocks, paediatric regional blocks and central neuraxial anaesthesia in challenging situations (ankylosing spondylitis patients). He worked as visiting Associate Professor in McGill University, Montreal, Canada in 1992-94 and again in 2001-02. Worked as Consultant Pediatric Anaesthesia in Operation Rainbow, Canada and Operation Smile for several years. He started Diploma in Anaesthesia in Afghanistan in 1987-88 as an expert by Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. He has been an examiner for MD at AIIMS and other Indian universities. He has many research publications in International and National journals. He has been an invited speaker in national workshops and conferences. He was founder Assistant Editor of Journal of Anesthesiology Clinical Pharmacology in 1985. He has always been a source of inspiration and a great mentor for the department. His great enthusiasm for academic exercise motivated us for organizing this academic extravaganza.		He is one of the pioneers of chronic pain service at AIIMS, New Delhi. He is practising regional anaesthesia and chronic pain management for more than 20years. He is an expert in different interventional pain procedures like fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided chronic pain procedures, and regional anaesthesia.He is also an expert in spinal cord stimulator, intra-thecal pump placement & percutaneous discectomy. He has been awarded Fellowship in Interventional Pain Practice by the World Institute of Pain (USA) in the year 2010. He is presently the trasurer of World Institute of Pain Indian Chapter. He has been an examiner at AIIMS and other Indian universities. He has published many research articles in International and National journals. He has been invited to speak at various National workshops and conferences.
