My Research theme is, I am working on cancer Immunology. I have recently completed a project entitled “To Study the role of Beta-Defensin on stem cells, cancer stem cells remodeling and its associated microenvironment”. My current research interest constitute deciphering the molecular mechanisms facilitating cancer

 

2.      Dr. Sonam Agarwal ( ICMR RA)

 

I am currently working as Research Associate (ICMR) in the field of oncology. I am currently working on project entitled “Detection of prostate cancer biomarker using sensitive and rapid lateral flow device with diagnostic and prognostic significance”. I have research experience in area of molecular biology, toxicology, biochemistry and histology. I have completed my Ph.D in 2018 from Banasthali University, Rajasthan. My research work highlights the role of bacoside A and bromelain against dichlorvos incited toxicity in serum and kidneys of mice. I have revealed publications of my work in journals of high repute. I have actively participation in the seminars and workshops of national and international repute.

 

3.      Ms. Anita Chauhan ( Ph.D. student)

  

Anita has completed her M.Sc. Biotechnology from Himachal Pradesh University. She also qualified National Fellowship Exam-CSIR JRF in 2017 with AIR-65. She started her work at AIIMS as JRF in 2017 and enrolled in PhD in 2018. She trying to decipher the cross talk between macrophages and tumour associated MSCs so that it can be exploited in designing a better treatment modality in combating breast cancer.

Currently pursuing my M.D. degree in Biochemistry under the guidance of Dr Pramod Kumar Gautam, I am working on my thesis project titled, " Comparative Analysis between Different Stage Cancer Patients to Discover Novel Blood-Based Biomarkers for Detection of Early Stage Breast Cancer- A Pilot Study".  In the view of detection of breast cancer in its early stages (Stage 0/Stage I ), blood will be analysed and compared with its later stages to discover probable novel blood based biomarkers.

 

 6.      Ms. Rupinder Kaur ( Ph.D. student)

 

I am presently endeavoring to elucidate the effect of exosomes secreted by tumor cells on other immune cells especially γδ T cells also working on methods to inhibit exosome biosynthesis to repress tumor progression.

I have completed Master of Science in Biochemistry (2019) from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. My master’s research work centered on establishing the correlation between molecular and biochemical parameters with wheat quality especially its chapatti baking characteristics. I have qualified GATE life Sciences (2020).
