CORRIGENDUM/ADDENDUM

(1)              One post of Associate Professor of Anaesthesiology may be read as Associate Professor of Prosthodontics.

(2)              The number of posts of Professor of Nephrology may be read as 1 (one) instead of 2 (two).

(3)              The number of posts of Assistant Professor of Prosthodontics may be read as 1 (one) instead of 2 (two).

(4)              The last date for submission of completed applications may also be read as 28.02.2007 instead of 15.01.2007.

Applications are also invited on prescribed form by the Director, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi-110 029
from the Indian citizen for the following faculty posts:-

ESSENTIAL ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE AFORESAID FACULTY POSTS

(i)         A Graduate Dental Qualification, e.g. B.D.S. included in Part-I of Dentist Act, 1948.

(ii)        A Postgraduate qualification, e.g. M.D.S., or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto, in the discipline/subject.

EXPERIENCE

14 years; 6 years and 3 years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of MDS or a qualification recognized
equivalent thereto for the posts of Professor; Associate Professor and Assistant Professor respectively.

Besides, the advertisement earlier published under reference above, only the non-medical candidates were allowed to apply for the post of Assistant Professor of
Medical Oncology (Lab.).  Likewise, the applications from the candidates having medical qualification as prescribed by the Institute, were invited for the post of
Associate Professor of Medical Oncology.  Now, both medical as well non-medical candidates could apply for the post of Assistant Professor of
Medical Oncology Lab. and Associate Professor of Medical Oncology on prescribed form.  The requisite Recruitment Rules prescribed for the said posts,
in addition to the Recruitment Rules already notified, are as under:

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF MEDICAL ONCOLOGY (LAB.) – FOR MEDICAL CANDIDATES:

(i)    A medical qualification included in Schedule I & II or part II of the third schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (candidates possessing the
qualifications included in Part-II of the third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13(3) of the Act.)

(ii)       A post-graduate qualification e.g. MD in Biochemistry or Anatomy or Pathology or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

EXPERIENCE

Three years teaching and/or research experience in recognized institutions in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Biochemistry/ Anatomy or
Pathology or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. Candidates should have at least one year experience in the area of specialty i.e. Oncology related fields. 
Experience in Molecular Biology, Cytogenetics, Transplantation Biology in the field of Oncology would be preferred.

The Recruitment Rules for the Non-medical candidates for the post of Assistant Professor of Medical Oncology Lab. remain the same, as notified earlier.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF MEDICAL ONCOLOGY (FOR NON-MEDICAL CANDIDATES):

(i) Postgraduate qualifications e.g. M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Biosciences, Genetics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pathology or equivalent degree thereto.

(ii) Doctorate degree of a recognized University.

EXPERIENCE:-

Six years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of Ph.D in the subjects mentioned
above and/or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto.  Experience in Molecular Biology, Cytogenetics related to Oncology and Transplantation Biology would be preferred.

The Recruitment Rules for the Medical candidates for the post of Associate Professor of Medical Oncology remain the same, as notified earlier.
