Subject:- Recruitment to the post of Mechanic (A/C & Refgn.) at the AIIMS, New Delhi.

Application are invited from amongst the eligible Department/Ad-hoc/daily wages candidates to fill up the post Mechanic (A/C & Refgn.) in the pay scale of Rs. 3050-4590 with the following qualifications:-
 
1. Educational and other Qualification for Direct Recruitment 1 Pass in Matriculation or equivalent;
    2.

Must have undergone a minimum of 12 months Refrigeration Mechanic or equivalent course in a recognised Technical Institute and must have served one year's apprenticeship in reputed firm or Organisation of Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineers.

Tow years apprenticeship in a reputed firm or Organisation of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineers.

A Minimum of one Year's experience as an Air Conditioning or Refrigeration serviceman, or as a Junior Mechanic or in any other skilled capacity on the maintenance and installation of water coolers, refrigerators, room air conditioners and small air conditioning and cold storage plants.

Note:- In case of candidates with 5 years experience clause 2 may be relaxed.
     
Trade Test:-
    i. Use of leak detector in testing leak
    ii. Soft soldering
    iii. Simple filling and fitting
    iv. Dismantle and assemble a water pump
    v. Pump down a system upto 15 H.P.
    vi. Oiling and greasing
    vii. Charge oil and gas in a system upto 5 H.H.
    viii. Dismantle and assemble a compressor upto 5 H.
    ix. Cut a compressor gasket of any type and size
2. Age limit  

Between 18-30 years (Relaxable up to 40 years for employees of AIIMS)


The daily wages persons must fulfill the above requisite qualification and also must be registered with the Employment Exchange and should have worked more than 240 days in a year for two consecutive years.

The employees who possess the above qualifications and are desirous of being considered for the post, may submit their application duly verified and forwarded by the concerned Establishment Section in the enclosed format alongwith the attested copies of certificates of educational qualification, experience and testimonials and recent passport size photograph duly attested.

The application duly completed should reach the undersigned latest by 31.03.2007. Application received after the due date and incomplete applications are not likely to be entertained.
