Dear students,

1.      The XXXV Annual Convocation of the Institute will be held on 23^rd October, 2007 at 4.00 P.M. at   the Jawahar Lal Auditorium,
         AIIMS.

           2.       The Convocation is a solemn occasion and I need not stress the importance of the dignity and the decorum appropriate to
         an occasion like this.

           3.       For the convenience of the awardees, the arrangements for the supply of gowns and the hoods have been made with M/s
         Pioneers (Regd.).  The Academic Costumes may be hired from them at their office in the Institute (Dean’s Committee Room)
         to be opened from 9.00 A.M. to 4.00 P.M. on 19^th to 23^rd October, 2007.  The charges for hiring the gown and hood are
         Rs.100/- for all colours and security deposit will be Rs.500/- which is refundable after the gown is returned.  The details of the
         prescribed gown and hood are as given below:-

           4.  THE 1^ST REHEARSAL FOR THE CONVOCATION WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY THE 20^TH  OCTOBER, 2007 AT 10.00 A.M.  AND FULL DRESS REHEARSAL ON MONDAY THE 22^ND    OCTOBER, 2007 AT 10.00 A.M.   YOUR ATTENDANCE AT BOTH THE REHEARSALS ARE ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL, IN CASE YOU INTEND TO RECEIVE THE DEGREE/AWARD IN PERSON.

           PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL NOT BE ADMITTED TO THE CONVOCATION IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND BOTH THE REHEARSALS.

            5.   While attending the Reherasals, you must reach atleast 60 minutes before the time of rehearsals i.e. 9.00 A.M. sharp (both
      days) on 20-10-2007 and 22-10-2007 and 60 minutes before the time of Convocation i.e. 3.00 P.M. sharp on 23-10-2007.

           6.   You shall be required to wear the prescribed gown & hood as indicated above, while receiving your degree in the Convocation.

7.   Men are requested to come with neckties and women in sarees.

           8.  Kindly fill up and return the enclosed proforma to the Academic Section immediately, on or before 18-10-2007 positively.  Advance information can in addition be submitted to the Registrar’s Office by Fax or E-mail
(Fax No.26589766/E-mail-reg@aiims.ac.in).

           9.  The candidates are requested to submit the `No Dues Certificate' before they are awarded the degree.

          10.  You are requested to collect the invitation card from the office of the undersigned (UG Cell) from 15-10-2007 to 19-10-2007 between 3.00 P.M. to 5.00 P.M. on request on a plain paper mentioning the name of a maximum of two relatives (parent / spouse) attending the Convocation with their expanded names (not in abbreviated form) and full complete residential addresses.   No change will be permitted. We will be glad to have your parent / spouse attending the Convocation.  No children below 10 years of age will be permitted to attend the function.

           11. Please acknowledge the receipt of this letter immediately and send your option forthwith but not later than 10-10-2007.
