Patients : Counselling, redressal of grievances, arranging financial assistance for treatment, surgery and rehabilitation of poor and needy patients arranging orthopaedic aids and appliances.  Mobilization of resources for construction of dharamshalas for outstation patients, donation of ambulances etc.  Welfare Officer is also the Member Secretary of the Management Committee and Executive Committee of the three Vishram Sadans. 

Employees : Counselling, redressal of grievances, and dealing with appointment on compassionate grounds.  Promotion of welfare activities for the employees with regards to their amenities such as cafeteria, cultural, recreation and sports, living conditions, etc.     Welfare Officer is also the Member Secretary of the  Committee for  addressing complaints of sexual harassment at AIIMS; Women’s Grievance Cell and  Task Force for women safety & gender sensitization at AIIMS.
