The National Eye Bank
is situated at the centre and has an enviable voluntary donor
list. A junior and a senior resident are available round the clock
to collect eyes from the donors. This year 641 donor eyes were
received and 463 keratoplasties were done. The eyes are also supplied
to other keratoplasty units on demand.
